Membership

The subcriptions for the new chess year starting in September 2022 are frozen at the existing rate of:

£8 a month for adults, payable by standing order.

£4 a month for juniors, students and unwaged, payable by standing order

Or:

An annual fee of £90 (£45 for concessionary members) payable upfront which gives a small saving of £6 (£3 concessions).

If you are a newcomer to Chichester Chess Club, hello and welcome! Newcomers get two weeks for free and, after that, if not able to commit to full membership, you can buy books of pre-paid tickets with one ticket equalling one admission. Books of tickets are priced at £10 for four tickets and £20 for nine tickets. These books are also available at half-price for juniors.

English Chess Federation (ECF) Membership

The Club expects all members who play in internal competitions or League matches to become members of ECF. This will generate a personal rating once you have a minimum of 5 games rated. Whilst the ECF has adopted a rolling 12 month subscription it makes huge sense to join in September to align with League and Club events. . Bronze membership is currently £18 per annum.

Grades

The English Chess Federation (ECF) maintains a live database of grades.
