Fareham B v Chichester & Bognor B
After winning their first four matches of the season the B Team fell to their second successive defeat, this time going down 4-2 to Fareham B. However, the B Team still maintain top spot just one point ahead Fareham with two matches each left to play.
The two points came with draws from Ian Judd, Keith Davies, Ray Hunt and Mick Plumb.

Emsworth C v Chichester & Bognor C
The C Team gained an excellent 4-2 win against Emsworth C with wins from Mick Plumb, Philip Wake and Rafael Harbour and draws from Alex Miller and Donald Close. The highlight of the match was 14 years old Rafael gaining his first win in only his second match.
The result could have been even better with Warwick Turner being unlucky when, in his first match, he lost on time with at least a drawn position and Donald Close, having a completely won position, unfortunately fell into a perpetual check trap.

Chichester & Bognor B v Emsworth B
After a run of four victories from the start of the season, the B team suffered their first defeat of the campaign going down 1½-4½ to Emsworth B. The 1½ points were gained with draws from Bill Partridge, Keith Davies and Ray Hunt.

The A team drew their latest match against Gosport. Andrew McDougall was the only winner with draws coming from Bill McDougall, Jaimie Wilson, Ray Williams and Bill Partridge.

Chichester & Bognor B v Portsmouth B
The B team gained another terrific win, this time against Portsmouth B, by 4½-1½ to make it 4 wins out of 4. The points came with wins from Steve Smith, Bill Partridge, Ray Williams and Keith Davies with Cliff Cropp gaining a draw.

Bill McDougall drew his played on game against Dave Cordner to complete an excellent 4-2 win for the A Team against Cosham A.

The A team have now secured their first win of the season against Cosham A. They are currently leading 3½-1½ with Bill McDougall’s game against Dave Cordner playing on. The C Team suffered their second defeat of the season when they went down 4-2 to Portsmouth C. The two points came from wins for Mick Plumb and Alex Miller. Ray Hunt was a little unfortunate to lose on time in an even game.

The A Team suffered their second defeat of the season when they went down 3½-2½ to Emsworth A in a very hard fought match with five of the six games being drawn. These came from Bill McDougall, Jamie Wilson, Steve Smith, Ray Williams and Bill Partridge.
